Winner of the 32nd annual Hal Jackson's Talented Teens International® Scholarship Program is Teena Lugo, a 17-year old young lady from New
Brunswick, New Jersey . Her favorite subject in school, where she is class
president, is public speaking because it affords her the opportunity to talk aloud, write, and discuss what is going on in the world and in our lives. After attending Rutgers University, Miss Lugo would like to become an actress or a teacher in secondary education, as she believes it is important to educate our children. She entered the contest because she thought it would be a great experience and she loves trying new things. She has learned that you should never give up, and with God, all things are possible. Her mother is the most significant influence in her life, because she has supported her through all of her endeavors and has never let her down. Miss New Jersey has won a $5,000 scholarship and trips to Bermuda, the US and British Virgin Islands, England, Anguilla and a diamond ring.
Update – Teena entered the School for Film & Television in the fall of 2003
