Winner of the 31 st annual Hal Jackson's Talented Teens International® Scholarship Program is Della Hamby, a 16-year-old gymnastic modern dancer from Romulus, Michigan who says that Drama is her favorite subject in school
because it is a fun form of expression. Upon graduation from Julliard School of Music in New York City with a degree in Performing Arts, Della wishes to become a professional dancer, actress or model. Della entered this contest to meet friends that share the same interests with her and has learned that the best way to approach success is being a Hal Jackson's Talented Teen. The person who most influences Della is her mother because she represents strength and is 100% supportive of all that Della wishes to accomplish. Miss Michigan has won a $5,000 scholarship.
Update – Della entered Wayne State University the fall of 2003
